Inpatient Social Work Team Lead

Job DescriptionThe Deputy Site Manager for the Gosford Hospital Inpatient Social Work Service is responsible for providing senior leadership to inpatient social workers, ensuring high-quality care and teamwork. This role requires extensive experience and specialist knowledge in acute health settings, as well as the ability to excel in assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, and case planning.
The successful candidate will be able to develop, implement, evaluate, and report on services, contribute to teaching and supervision, and support the interdisciplinary team and partners. Additionally, they will participate in the On Call Social Work Service and work rostered weekends and public holidays as directed by the service manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Clinical Expertise and Leadership: Extensive experience and specialist knowledge in acute health settings, with the ability to provide senior leadership to inpatient social workers.
- Comprehensive Care Provider: Ability to excel in assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, and case planning, ensuring smooth patient transitions and access to community services.
- Proactive and Collaborative: Ability to develop, implement, evaluate, and report on services, contribute to teaching and supervision, and support the interdisciplinary team and partners.
