Job Overview

The Diploma Room Leader role is an opportunity to shape a learning environment from the start. As a key member of our team, you will take the lead in daily operations, ensuring high-quality education, strong routines, and a warm, inclusive environment.

You will guide and inspire your team of educators to deliver engaging programs that nurture each child's growth and development. This role requires leadership skills, passion for creating inspiring learning environments, and a commitment to fostering lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide the educators in your room, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate high-quality learning programs in line with EYLF and NQS.
  • Maintain effective routines and a safe, organised, and engaging learning space.
  • Champion the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children in your care.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with families and keep them informed of their child's progress.
  • Support the centre's culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a Room Leader or strong interest in taking on a leadership role
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications
  • Child Protection training/certificate
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Passion for creating inspiring, engaging learning environments
