Our projects business unit excels in multi-disciplinary project delivery, with capabilities for delivering Brownfields and Greenfield CAPEX or OPEX work packages. We have a proven track record of successfully completing a high volume of project packages for our mining client base.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Projects Controls team as a Cost Controller. This full-time, permanent position is responsible for:

  • Establishing and maintaining cost budgets for projects based on tender estimates
  • Preparing internal and client invoicing and supporting documentation
  • Maintaining all cost commitments, including review of internal and third-party costs
  • Preparing monthly project cost and revenue forecasts and assisting in producing Contract Status Reports
  • Providing cost control support and assistance, including project closeout and lessons learned
  • Inputting client variations and maintaining current contract value and budgets
  • Reviewing requisitions and commitments for compliance with project cost coding
  • Preparing consolidated project invoicing forecasts
  • Assisting with office and site timekeeping systems and reporting
About You

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, engineering, project management, or related discipline
  • Post-graduate experience in a cost controller or similar role
  • An understanding and application of project cost management principles
  • Strong data and communication skills
  • The ability to maintain quality and attention to detail when working to deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • High levels of computer literacy including ERP and reporting systems
  • Active participation in departmental goals, objectives, and projects
  • Experience working for a construction contractor in the mining/resources industry is desirable
