Nurse Unit Manager Role Overview

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Inpatient 26-bed, subacute ward specialising in rehabilitation and palliative care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for managing the operational, financial, human, and information resources within the unit, ensuring high-quality clinical practices and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the ward, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Liaise with the relevant Clinical Director to ensure that the ward is aligned with organisational goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • A recognised nursing qualification and current registration with the Nurses and Midwives Board of NSW.
  • Experience in providing management and leadership in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop good relationships with multidisciplinary teams and progress change management initiatives.
