About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team at Borg Manufacturing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and detailing machinery and parts using AutoCAD and 3D Modelling software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and detailing of machinery and parts using AutoCAD and 3D Modelling software.
  • Commissioning Automation wood Manufacturing.
  • Procurement of materials and parts for engineering projects.
  • Machine construction & testing in Somersby workshop.
  • Factory automation design for plant upgrades, optimisation and new projects.
  • Layout drawings for project proposal, planning and execution.
  • Calculations to analyse throughput and performance.
Requirements
  • Experience in 2D or 3D CAD drafting, including ability to produce manufacturing drawings.
  • Experience in Mechanical design and Automation.
  • Ability to understand and apply mechanical concepts and principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
About You

We are looking for a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in design and automation. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to learn quickly and be proactive, and have excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet targets.

This is a full-time permanent position within our Engineering Team. To be successful in this role, you must be self-motivated and be willing to put in the work needed to complete jobs in a timely manner. Attention to detail and highest quality workmanship are paramount.

As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric and drug and alcohol testing.

Rate will be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
