Lead Computer Science Educator

This is a full-time, five-year contract position as the Lead Computer Science Educator in the Senior School (Years 7 to 12).

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the Computer Science Department and will have a team of three experienced specialist teachers reporting to them.

This role requires an astute manager of people who can draw the best out of colleagues. They will need to be prepared to embrace new technologies and develop new curriculum resources along with having advanced programming skills in at least one language and being familiar with Python.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and management skills and be able to create a fulfilling learning and teaching environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum leadership and management of Computer Science in Years 7 to 12
  • Leading a team of three experienced specialist teachers
  • Developing new curriculum resources and embracing new technologies
  • Having advanced programming skills in at least one language and being familiar with Python
