Job Opportunity

This role involves working under minimal supervision with like-minded cyber security professionals and computer scientists to develop cutting-edge tools and techniques for discovering vulnerabilities in software of operational significance.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including developing novel static/dynamic/symbolic analyses, exploiting large computing platforms, transitioning research prototypes into deployed capabilities, and presenting their work at international conferences.

  • Develop novel static/dynamic/symbolic analyses for finding vulnerabilities in source/binary code
  • Exploit large computing platforms to scale up research prototypes
  • Transition research prototypes into deployed capabilities
  • Presentation skills

The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving ability, creativity, and experience with scientific and engineering principles. They should also have well-developed skills in computer science or software engineering, an aptitude for software reverse engineering, software debugging, exploit development, machine learning, and/or software development.

  • Strong problem-solving ability, rigour, and creativity to identify solutions to demanding challenges
  • Application of scientific, engineering principles, and concepts-including investigation and analysis-to solve technical problems

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will contribute to the development of advanced program analyses for discovering vulnerabilities in software. This includes reasoning about program behaviors and spans fundamental research to tools development for vulnerability research practitioners.
