Job Title: Production Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

About the Role:

This is a critical role that will involve coordinating maintenance activities across various production facilities, ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimizing downtime. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies, resulting in improved equipment reliability and reduced costs.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into equipment failures, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Work closely with service providers and contractors to ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history, maintenance schedules, and incident reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and maintenance personnel, promoting continuous learning and skill development.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical, hospital, or food processing industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
