The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Family Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation that provides support and advocacy to the Aboriginal community. We are committed to our vision and values, ensuring a culturally safe and effective service response.
This role requires strong professional practice in Child Wellbeing assessments, Family Violence risk assessment, and supporting referral pathways to ensure Aboriginal women, men, and children receive a culturally safe and effective service response. You will work collaboratively with the Aboriginal Practice Leader, Hub practitioners, and the wider Orange Door & VACCA leadership groups.
We are seeking a dedicated leader who shares our values and has a minimum qualification of a Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification. Alternatively, you may have 5 years' relevant professional experience or a related qualification relevant to child and family welfare.
You must have demonstrated commitment to Aboriginal self-determination and a comprehensive understanding of confidentiality and mandatory reporting provisions. Experience in Child Wellbeing assessments and Family Violence risk assessments, as well as a knowledge of the Best Interest Case Practice Model and the Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Management (MARAM) Framework, is also required.
