About the Role

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to join their team in Nowra, NSW. As a key member of the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) program, you will be responsible for the maintenance and modification of EC135 Mechanical systems and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft flight-line handling and servicing duties
  • Remove and install aircraft components
  • Disassemble and reassemble aircraft components
  • Prepare and use aircraft support equipment and inspection
  • Maintain, service, repair, and diagnose components and systems operating in both line maintenance and base maintenance environments

Requirements

  • Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical)
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with EH&S policies and procedures
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks carried out are in accordance with the applicable Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and certified in the maintenance documentation
  • Previous experience working on rotary wing aircraft
  • Ability to successfully interact with co-workers, maintaining productive working relationships to meet team, business unit, and organisational goals
  • Flexibility with working hours and locations
  • Hold or be able to obtain a "Baseline" Security Clearance as per Defence Department requirements
  • Willingness to reside in Oakey area

Desirable Criteria

  • Current B1.3 MAML or the ability to obtain
  • Cert IV Structures
  • Previous experience working on rotary wing aircraft
  • EC135 series Aircraft Type course
  • Safran Arrius B2 line 1 and 2 maintenance training

Security Clearance/Eligibility

You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Baseline) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time.
