About This Role

This position involves developing and delivering training programs to ensure operational efficiency and safety standards in drilling operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure all training adheres to regulatory requirements and operational expectations.
  • Conduct assessments for drill rig operators and shot firing teams to guarantee compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse teams across multiple geographic locations.
  • Provide continuous support and feedback to enhance performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices, safety protocols, and relevant legislation.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate must possess leadership skills, experience in managing training functions, and a solid understanding of legislated requirements.
  • Cert IV Training and Assessment TAE40116 or above is highly regarded.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in open pits drilling and blast operations.
  • Load and Haul and/or HD Mechanical experience is an asset.
  • Certificate IV WHS or auditing qualifications are desirable.
  • Strong ability to work in remote mining locations and diverse teams.
  • Previous experience in training and assessment is highly valued.
  • A proactive and safety-focused approach is essential.
  • Ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the workforce.
  • Surface Shot Firing Licence is required.
  • Experience drilling on L7 and T45 Drill Rigs is an advantage.
