Penrith Food Safety and Quality Assurance Specialist

A full-time position is available for a Purchasing Officer to join our client's team in Penrith, Sydney.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality and food safety systems conform to all Federal and State legislation standards.
Key responsibilities include reporting and documenting production quality issues, owning purchasing activities, and coordinating with production teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality and food safety systems comply with legislative standards
- Report and document production quality concerns
- Manage purchasing activities and collaborate with production teams
- Track international cargo and shipping movements
- Plan and schedule production
- Maintain quality assurance in line with food safety guidelines
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in the food industry supply chain
- Purchasing skills in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred)
- Advanced Excel experience
- Knowledge of food and beverage products
- Ability to work independently within a team
- Desire to grow and develop a career
- Excellent communication skills
- Friendly and professional demeanor
