Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Director to lead our engineering team responsible for hardware and software design, development, and lifecycle maintenance of our Digital Mine product line. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for establishing and executing a long-term technical strategy to meet customer needs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering team to design and develop new products and requisitions on time, while ensuring quality solutions at a competitive engineering cost.
  • Collaborate with business leadership, product management, and commercial teams to establish and execute a long-term technical strategy.
  • Develop and strengthen the team's engineering skillsets and ensure high performance.
  • Develop engineering budget and operate within budget.
  • Develop a pipeline of engineering talent and engineering leadership.
Requirements
  • BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Mining or related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 5 yrs engineering experience in mining, propulsion system or equipment design, or related industry.
  • Minimum 3 yrs experience in leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mining Engineering.
  • Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with embedded firmware, controls, hardware, and software.
  • Experience in a variety of engineering processes such as application/requisition, field support, factory support, and new product introduction.
  • Experience leading and working with global teams.
  • 7 or more years of experience in the mining industry.
  • Domain knowledge in hard rock and soft rock mining.
  • Field experience related to underground mining practices, equipment, propulsion systems, and vehicles.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • PC proficiency.
  • Application proficiency for business and project management and control applications.
