**Science Leadership Opportunity**

A key position exists within our college community for a skilled and dedicated Secondary Science Teacher to lead and coordinate our science department.

The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating and leading the science team, with a focus on providing high-quality education and support to students. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead and coordinate the science department, including planning and implementing curriculum programs and assessments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with staff, students, and parents to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers in the science department, including professional development and coaching.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.

**Essential Qualifications:**

  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
  • Proven experience in teaching and leading science education at the secondary level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
