Join Our Team as a Traffic Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Traffic Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transportation engineering principles and excellent communication skills.

About the Position:

Our Charlotte, NC office is looking for a talented Traffic Engineer to work on a variety of projects, including traffic operations and capacity evaluation. The selected candidate will work with a team of traffic engineers and highway safety specialists to develop practical solutions to real-world problems.

Responsibilities:

Perform intersection and corridor operational analyses using Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, Sidra, and other analysis toolsAnalyze, develop, and evaluate traffic improvementsDevelop conceptual intersection/roadway improvement design and traffic signal design plans in MicroStation and/or AutoCADPrepare written documents summarizing data and analysis, and assemble reports to convey findings and recommendationsCollect and tabulate traffic dataConduct field traffic safety assessments

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, 0-1 years of experience in transportation, preferably related to traffic or safety. Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, Sidra, VISSIM, TransModeler, and/or other capacity software is a plus. Strong computer skills and attention to detail are essential.
