The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex information and make informed decisions. A background in claims assessment is essential, with a focus on matrixed general insurance organisations.

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or industry equivalent are required, along with demonstrated experience in coaching and developing claims teams at a technical level.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also necessary, combined with the ability to balance understanding, empathy, and compassion with commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert technical advice and support to claims staff, driving improvement in customer and business outcomes.
  • Evaluate claims and identify trends to inform commercial decision-making.
  • Support the execution of quality assurance frameworks, delivering training needs at an individual and team level.
  • Mentor and develop claims teams, promoting effective working relationships across the organisation.
