
Digital Experience Strategist

This role is pivotal to experience transformation, with a dual focus on driving digital content strategies and leading high-performing teams of content designers and specialists.
A senior level position that requires 7–10 years' experience in digital content, UX writing, or content design roles across complex digital products and environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong writing/editing/proofing skills, a deep understanding of content strategy, content architecture, and digital user experience, as well as experience working in regulated industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute content strategies to guide the creation of high-impact digital content, including microcopy, UI copy, SEO optimised pages, and omnichannel journeys.
- Review and elevate team content for quality, consistency, accessibility, and alignment with brand tone and experience vision.
- Manage content lifecycles, creation, maintenance, optimisation, across websites and mobile apps.
- Analyse performance data to optimise content and support business and customer goals.
- Inspire, coach, and guide a team of digital content professionals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement with a strong emphasis on UX writing, content design, accessibility, and plain English.
- Prioritise and manage multiple content initiatives across regulatory, product, and optimisation projects.
- Partner with stakeholders across brand, product, marketing, and IT to deliver unified and relevant digital content experiences.
- Own and manage content budgets, forecasts, agency engagement, and reporting.
- Lead risk and compliance practices for your team, including content audits, regulatory documentation, and content lifecycle governance.
Requirements:
- 7–10 years' experience in digital content, UX writing, or content design roles across complex digital products and environments.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, insurance, health).
- Strong writing/editing/proofing skills with a deep understanding of content strategy, content architecture, and digital user experience.
- Proficient in using CMS platforms, Figma, Jira, Confluence, and analytics tools.
- Proven ability to manage teams, lead through influence, and build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Experience working in agile and traditional project environments, juggling multiple projects and stakeholder needs with confidence.
- A natural coach and mentor who's passionate about building capability and delivering high-impact work.
- A genuine interest in wellness, user-centred design, and purposeful digital experiences.
- Passion for working in mission led or not-for-profit organisations.
