About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pet Groomer to join our team at PETstock Retail Pty Ltd. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to our customers and their pets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide High-Quality Grooming Services
    • Offer a range of grooming services, including bathing, drying, nail clipping, brushing, combing, and generic and breed clipping.
    • Provide a positive and memorable experience for all customers and their dogs.
  • Coordinate the Grooming Salon
    • Work closely with the Store Manager to coordinate the grooming salon and clients.
    • Make client bookings and manage the grooming schedule.
  • Support the Store Team
    • Assist the store shop floor team when required.
    • Contribute to stock management and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Meet Sales Targets
    • Work with the team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
    • Proactively support local marketing opportunities and recruitment referral programs.
  • Ensure a Safe Working Environment
    • Maintain a strong safety mindset and commitment to creating a culture of safety within the team.
    • Identify and report any safety concerns or hazards.
Requirements
  • Experience in Professional Dog Grooming
    • Proven experience in providing high-quality dog grooming services.
  • Qualification in Grooming
    • Possession of a qualification in grooming, preferred but not essential.
  • Strong Safety Practices
    • Ability to create and embed strong safety practices across the salon and store.
  • Knowledge of Specific Breed Clips
    • Good knowledge of specific breed clips and ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge.
  • Physical Fitness
    • Ability to lift heavy animals and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Animal Handling Experience
    • Demonstrated experience in handling and working with live animals.
  • Communication Skills
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards.
