About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety professional to play a key role in the development of a major energy project, located north of Adelaide.

This exciting initiative aims to enhance regional energy security and stability within the power grid, supporting Australia's transition to net-zero emissions through the implementation of a state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

In this position, you will coordinate the implementation of health and safety initiatives and support the HSE Advisor in delivering essential health and safety services.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety policies and procedures by promoting a culture of Zero Harm.
  • Provide specialist health and safety advice, interpretation, and counsel to line management to ensure effective decision-making.
  • Facilitate compliance checks, system audits, and performance monitoring activities to drive continuous improvement and mitigate risks.
  • Identify training needs and assist in designing and delivering relevant health and safety programs to equip colleagues with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain productive relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective health and safety outcomes.
