Project Manager for Industrial Automation Projects

The ideal candidate will have a university degree or college diploma in a relevant field, such as electrical engineering, mechatronics, systems design, automation, or industrial engineering.

With 3+ years of experience in project management roles on controls automation projects, the candidate will be responsible for managing client expectations and communication needs to the project team, managing scope internally and externally with the client, and ensuring quality of the end solution through implementation of standard project and development processes.

Experience managing projects in manufacturing industries is an asset, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ability to work effectively in a team-based project environment and travel approximately 30% is required.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Manage client expectations and communication needs to the project team
  • Manage scope internally (with the project team) and externally (with the client)
  • Ensure harmonious working relationships with key partners
  • Identify risks and roadblocks to the successful completion of the project and work with management to resolve
  • Ensure quality of the end solution through implementation of standard project and development processes
  • Requirements:
  • University degree or college diploma in a relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience in project management role on controls automation projects
  • Experience managing projects in manufacturing industries is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based project environment
