Job Description

The Plant Maintenance Supervisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining the technical integrity of plant equipment and machinery. This involves overseeing overhaul and repair activities, as well as implementing continuous improvements to plant and maintenance standards.

This includes leading by example in undertaking preventative and reactive maintenance, managing the Plant Maintenance Workshop to meet relevant safety, environmental, and technical standards.

  • Collaborate with employees, contract staff, and maintenance contractors to ensure seamless maintenance operations.
  • Provide maintenance advice to the wider organisation, ensuring plant and vehicles meet V/Line and rail industry standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

A Heavy Diesel or Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter background is highly desirable, along with good organisation and time management skills, as well as problem-solving and prioritisation abilities.
