Business Improvement Specialist

About the Role:

This is a critical in-flight Remediation program role that partners closely with the Remediation Project Manager to design and refine a remediation process for a known business issue.

The successful candidate will require cross-functional coordination with multiple business process owners, technology, operations, and data teams to deliver at pace and drive quick remediation outcomes for impacted customers.

Strong business, process, and data analysis skills are essential, with a clear focus on customer service, risk management, and process efficiency. Effective engagement with business and process owners is crucial.

  • Ensure adequate business analysis to document requirements, facilitate design, and support build test of processes for remediation of member scenarios.
  • Support remediation project managers by providing relevant business analysis to support process improvement activities, including planning, running, and managing requirements gathering workshops.
  • Develop a deep understanding of pain points and areas for opportunity with business process owners and remediation initiative owners.
  • Collaborate with the process analyst team to develop clear process documentation (current and future state).
  • Conduct required analysis of remediation data sets and impacted customer cohorts, presenting insights, findings, and corrective action recommendations to business process owners and remediation project managers as needed.
  • Participate in and contribute to the BA and Agile Communities of Practice within our organization.
  • Support the uplift of Agile practices and foster a culture of continual improvement.

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in remediation projects or programs, or complex customer-facing transformation projects.
  • A proven track record (5+ years) in Business Analyst experience, including business requirements preparation and delivery of system and non-system oriented end-to-end development processes.
  • Practical application of Lean and Six Sigma process improvement tools.
  • Expertise in managing multiple stakeholders and working collaboratively with business process owners to clearly document as-is and to-be process/business requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent information visualization/report writing skills.
  • Experience in creating use cases.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to facilitate and present ideas/plans at meetings and influence outcomes, work autonomously, and drive pieces of work to completion.
