Maintenance Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Weipa, Western Cape York Peninsula. As a key member of our operations, you will play a vital role in maintaining and operating tailings and water infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Operating and maintaining equipment and systems related to tailings and water management
  • Monitoring dam performance and conducting routine inspections
  • Potable water and waste water plant operation
  • Water sampling
  • Ensuring safe and reliable execution of maintenance tasks
Qualifications and Skills
  • Trade qualification (e.g., plumber, fitter, boilermaker, electrician) – highly desirable but not essential
  • Experience operating heavy equipment – highly desirable but not essential
  • Water sampling/treatment plant operation experience – highly desirable but not essential
  • A current C Class Manual Driver's License
  • A strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous learning
