We are seeking a skilled and experienced Reliability Engineering Maintenance Leader to join our team at Amazon's Moorebank Fulfilment Centre.

This role involves leading a technical team in carrying out reactive and proactive maintenance activities, repairing and maintaining the machinery that keeps Amazon running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have formal trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter/Turner or Electrician with current electrical trade license, leadership experience in supervising multi-trade teams, and relevant experience in automation or material handling equipment environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervise and lead Maintenance Technicians by motivating, providing guidance and directions to help them achieve their goals.
  • Delve and maintain Preventive Maintenance programs, building compliance programs, including facility and contractor management.
  • Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and to promote safe working across the site.
  • Manage maintenance related purchase orders to maximise smooth facility operation and control of critical spare and store inventory to ensure adequate stock levels for maintenance.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all FC systems including power distribution, automated material handling equipment, conveyance, and all other operational equipment.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organisation, including regular attendance to site leadership meetings and steering committees.

A day in the life:

In this role, you'll be leading a team to ensure everyone has the equipment they need and that it's running properly. This involves monitoring processes to ensure regulations and policies are followed, and ensuring preventative maintenance is carried out to increase equipment uptime.

About the team:

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team keeps our equipment performing at its best. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfilment centres.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter/Turner or Electrician with current electrical trade license, leadership experience in supervising multi-trade teams, and relevant experience in automation or material handling equipment environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred qualifications are not required to apply, but we'd love to hear from you if you have experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs, and work order management.
