The Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Regis Camberwell. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care to our residents, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and well-being are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist residents with mobility and transfer activities, ensuring their safety and comfort
  • Monitor residents' preferences, needs, and wellbeing, escalating any changes to the care team
  • Provide social and emotional support to residents, engaging in activities that promote their mental and emotional well-being
  • Document incidents and care provided, participating in Work Health and Safety programs to ensure a safe and secure environment

Requirements

  • Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Nursing, or related health/care studies
  • Prior experience as a personal carer in aged care is an advantage, but we will provide training for the right candidate
  • Commitment to holistic care that supports residents in achieving their goals and having all their needs met
