Aged Care Support Worker

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aged Care Support Worker to join our team at KinCare in the Queanbeyan area.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure our customers' homes are safe and comfortable.
- Assisting with meal preparation and shopping to promote healthy eating and independence.
- Offering social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay connected and engaged.
- Providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, to support our customers' daily needs.
- Delivering respite and emotional support to our customers and their families.
- Transporting customers to appointments and providing social support during these interactions.
- Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia, and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.

Requirements
- 6 months or more experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care.
- A current P1 class or above Australian Driver's License and a registered vehicle, with a willingness to travel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care and support to our customers.
