Optimising Ubuntu for Cutting Edge Hardware

This role involves spearheading a team of software engineers to ensure seamless integration of Ubuntu with the latest hardware platforms and software stacks. The successful candidate will have experience working with Linux distributions, debian packaging, and high-performance server-class hardware.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a distributed team to design and implement the most optimal Ubuntu integration for IoT and server-class hardware platforms
  • Collaborate with commercial partners to deliver an exceptional, optimised Ubuntu experience on their platforms
  • Develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback
  • Oversee commercial engagements and ensure timely delivery on agreed project milestones
  • Maintain strict quality and reliability standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology field or equivalent qualification
  • Experience managing or leading a team of software engineers
  • Understanding of agile software development methodologies
  • Effective communication skills in English
