School Facilities Officer Role

This is a key support position within our school community. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and presentation of our facilities, ensuring they are safe and well-maintained for students, staff and visitors.

About the School

Our school is a small primary institution located in the heart of Brisbane's north metropolitan region. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality education to local children and fostering a positive learning environment that values relationships between students, staff, parents and the wider community.

About the Role
  • Maintenance and repairs: attend to or arrange maintenance and repairs within the school, including furniture and equipment, locks and windows, swimming pools, and facilities.
  • Operational machinery and tools: be competent operating machinery and tools for grounds maintenance and minor maintenance and repairs of facilities.
  • Day-to-day activities: perform a range of tasks, including delivering and collecting mail, parcels and documents; recording and delivering messages; preparing activity halls; removing and relocating furniture; maintaining registers; stocktaking and recording/en-graving of school equipment/furniture and assets.
  • Additional duties: assist with clearing and hosing drains and gutters; collection of waste, food and paper on school grounds as agreed by relevant staff; undertaking immediate action cleaning duties; assist with requirements for significant events.
