We are seeking a high-performing and passionate lawyer to join our Corporate Solicitors Office as a Commercial Lawyer for Retail Operations.
This is a rare opportunity to provide legal support to the Health Division and other parts of Wesfarmers' retail operations, working closely with business stakeholders to deliver commercially astute advice.
Key Responsibilities:- Drafting and negotiating commercial legal documentation
- Providing advice on regulatory matters related to the pharmaceutical and health industries and retail businesses
- Engaging and managing external legal advisers
- Educating team members on legal developments
- At least 8 years post-admission experience with commercial and corporate legal experience
- Proven experience in working with businesses to arrive at commercial outcomes
- Demonstrated capability in advising on commercial contracts, privacy and health legal issues, and competition and consumer law
Base salary AU$140,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, plus superannuation and incentives. The role offers a unique opportunity to build an in-depth understanding of the business operations while being part of a supportive, experienced in-house legal team.
The position is based in Melbourne and provides a great work-life balance, allowing you to quickly learn from mistakes and contribute to the company's growth.
