The Sydney office of Optiver is one of the primary players within Asian markets, trading a range of products. Established in 1996, it's an active participant on the Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan exchanges, and serves as Optiver's APAC head office.
Job DescriptionAs a Software Developer Intern at Optiver, you'll take ownership of critical projects right from the start. You'll work alongside traders and other developers to identify and solve problems that make a tangible impact on the business. Your goal is to find the simplest and cleanest solution to the problem at hand.
You'll experience the excitement of a fast-paced development cycle – owning a tight feedback loop, testing and shipping your code to production. You could be working on a change to a trading system in the morning and see it running live in the afternoon. Our collaborative culture means you'll work closely with others to achieve success.
RequirementsTo be eligible for this internship, you should be a penultimate or pre-penultimate university student studying a Computer Science, Software/Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering or similarly technical degree. You must also be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or able to provide evidence of full working rights.

SalaryThe estimated salary for this position is AU$65,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on experience. However, please note that this figure is only an estimate based on industry standards and may vary.
