Role Overview
The Auxiliary Firefighter will be an integral part of our team, responding to fire and other emergency incidents while promoting community safety and emergency preparedness.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to fire and other emergency incidents as a member of a team
- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities
- Develop and maintain competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses
- Maintain attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
- Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively
- Contribute to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities
- Ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities
- Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration
Capabilities
To determine your suitability for this role, you will be assessed on leadership and management behavioural competencies including Performance through Vision, Performance through Results, and Performance through Accountability.
Requirements
Mandatory requirements include holding a valid driver's licence, being an Australian permanent resident, and obtaining a MRV licence within 12 months of employment. Additionally, you must commit to attending 50% of calls as a day worker or 30% of calls as a shift worker, and attending 75% of regular drill and training sessions.

Salary and Benefits Package
We offer a competitive salary package estimated at around $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
