The role of Ventilation Officer is a critical part of maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. As the Ventilation Officer, you will be responsible for managing the mine ventilation system in compliance with statutory legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exercise your statutory function as Ventilation Officer in accordance with WHS (Mines and Petroleum Sites) legislation.
  • Complete monthly ventilation surveys and maintain the gas monitoring network.
  • Deliver detailed ventilation modelling and design of the ventilation system using software such as VentSim.
  • Monitor and report on the performance and effectiveness of ventilation and monitoring systems.

This role requires strong knowledge of VentSim modelling software and experience working in underground coal operations.

To be successful, you will need a certificate or graduate diploma in mine ventilation or equivalent, as well as a practicing certificate to perform the function of Ventilation Officer.
