We are seeking an accomplished Senior Ventilation Systems Expert to lead the design and delivery of high-performance underground ventilation systems on a major infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, optimize, and implement ventilation systems for tunnels and caverns to ensure compliance with Australian regulations and standards.
  • Conduct air-flow simulations, thermal load assessments, and troubleshoot ventilation and air quality issues across multiple project sites.
  • Provide hands-on technical assistance during excavation, installation, and commissioning to ensure high standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance.
  • Lead and mentor small engineering teams, managing deliverables, timelines, and quality while fostering technical growth.
Requirements
  • 8-12 years of experience as a Ventilation Engineer, with at least 3-4 years in Australia.
  • Hands-on involvement in tunnelling or mining projects (mandatory, at least one).
  • Proven skills in design, optimization, and troubleshooting of ventilation systems.
  • Air flow simulations and thermal load evaluations.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian OHS compliance.
  • Practical experience during excavation, installation, commissioning, and resolving ventilation-related issues under site conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead small engineering teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary groups.
