Compliance Officer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team at Independent Reserve in Sydney.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for supporting the Compliance Manager and Chief Risk Officer to ensure that our company adheres to legal standards and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough internal control reviews of our Australian and Singapore operations
  • Create and maintain comprehensive reports reflecting compliance and assurance metrics and key areas of improvement across the business
  • Review and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Develop and deliver training programs on compliance requirements to ensure staff members are informed and compliant
  • Assist the Compliance Manager and Chief Risk Officer on strategic initiatives across the Independent Reserve Group

About You

You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work closely with all levels across the Group, navigating regulatory compliance with an in-depth understanding of internal policies and procedures.

Your communication skills will facilitate high-quality interactions with various teams, while your problem-solving and analytical capabilities will assist the teams in finding compliant, commercial solutions to emerging issues.

You will be able to self-manage your time and priorities under guidance from your line manager.

Other desirable skills include:

  • University-level qualification in financial services or a related discipline
  • Compliance industry qualification (e.g. Certificate IV in Compliance & Risk Management)
  • 2+ years of experience in banking or financial services with a strong focus on compliance
  • Previous experience or involvement in the cryptocurrency industry
