The Accounts Payable Finance Officer will provide a strategic contribution to the finance department, enhancing the financial team's skill base. This role is responsible for processing credit applications, managing accounts receivable and payable, and general cashiering duties.
Key Responsibilities:- Process all Credit Applications, ensuring timely and professional communication with clients.
- Set up A/R accounts for newly approved credits and maintain accurate creditor information.
- Accurately process all A/R accounts.
- Ensure accurate invoicing, supported by a valid guarantee of payment and correct room rates.
- Transfer invoices to the City Ledger in a timely manner and promptly send notifications to debtors.
- Daily summary of adjustments related to the City Ledger and distribute as necessary.
- Reconcile with a PMS-generated report at end of shift.
- Regularly follow-up on debtors trading beyond their normal terms and notify the Financial Controller/Assistant Financial Controller.
- Verify credit card transactions for completeness.
- Liaise with Front Office and bank for credit card disputes.
- Ensure accurate Month End reports are printed and forwarded to the Financial Controller.
