**Job Title:** Social Worker - Child Care Specialist

**Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate social worker to join our team at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive social work services to children, young people, and their families.

**Key Responsibilities:

- Provide psychosocial assessments, counseling, and advocacy to support the emotional and social well-being of children and their families.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each child or family.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and support.
- Provide education and support to families on various aspects of healthcare, including crisis intervention and management.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in evidence-based practice.

**Requirements:

- Postgraduate degree in Social Work (or equivalent).
- AASW membership (or eligible for membership).
- Experience working with children, young people, and their families in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
