Social Worker – Mental Health Level 1 or 2 – Part Time

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Social Worker to join the Allied Health team for Mental Health services at the Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) on a part time basis (3 days per week).

The NBH provides care to both public and private mental health patients. Social workers enhance social and emotional functioning through interventions and arrangement of services and support for patients. The successful Social Worker will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of clinical care, work in partnership with Medical Officers and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide assessment and evidence based treatment.

Selection Criteria

• Degree in Social Work and eligibility to the AASW
• Demonstrated experience working in Mental Health and Aged Care
• Highly developed social work assessment and counselling skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team\
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope- NSW - Health Professionals $ Support Services Agreement - 2023, salary range between $39.48 - $57.21.
