Maintenance Officer - Facilities Manager
">- Carry out a broad range of activities to ensure school buildings and facilities remain in good order.
- Administer and maintain the plant, equipment, and other aspects of the school's physical environment safely.
- Mainly responsible for maintaining the building exteriors to a high standard of cleanliness.
- Assist with other general tasks as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator.
- Work closely with a team of Maintenance Officers and report directly to the Maintenance Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine inspections and updating maintenance records.
- Ensuring tools are in good condition and managing repairs.
- Maintaining buildings, play areas, and fixtures for safety and functionality.
- Documenting maintenance for administrative and WHS purposes.
- Coordinating with contractors to ensure compliance with project obligations.
In terms of WHS:
- Adhere to safety policies and maintain facilities.
- Provide protective equipment and verify contractor compliance.
- Assist with WHS inspections and participate in safety activities.
About you:
You are a dedicated Education Support Officer, Maintenance, who plays a crucial role in ensuring that our school buildings and facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
Mainly responsible for carrying out a broad range of activities that keep our physical environment safe and functional, adhering strictly to Work Health and Safety requirements.
You consistently maintain the building exteriors, ensuring cleanliness and effective waste management, including the removal of rubbish and recycling efforts.
Collaborate effectively with fellow Maintenance Officers, contributing to a cohesive team that prioritises safety and operational excellence.
