Industrial Design and Technology Leadership Role

As the leader of our Industrial Design and Technology department, you will play a crucial role in implementing and delivering the 7-10 Australian Curriculum Design Technology and 10-12 courses.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading curriculum leadership and management for Industrial, Design and Technology (Australian Curriculum, Vocational Education and QCAA General and Applied)
  • Developing and growing a contemporary vision for curriculum areas aligned to industry needs and delivering this through a change management process
  • Leading implementation of the BPSHS teaching and learning pedagogical processes and moderation processes as per BPSHS teaching and learning cycle
  • Line management of staff and managing SPG (setting personal goals) process and staff performance
  • Managing human, financial, and curriculum resources of the Design Technology faculty

You will also be responsible for:

  • Team leadership (diverse range of staff/roles)
  • Industrial, Design and Technology curriculum (AC, QCAA, and VET)
  • Contemporary understanding of industry requirements and direction
  • Mental health/social/emotional support strategies and strong conflict resolution, mediation skills, and staff team building skills
  • Developing and maintaining community networks and partnerships and current and emerging technology and education trends and opportunities
  • Data literacy to develop and implement systems to track, monitor, and lead intervention for student learning progress and wellbeing
