Position Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic casual educators to join our team, working in a variety of services across Brisbane. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Assist in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Engage in Age-Appropriate Activities: Engage in activities that promote learning and development, tailored to the needs and interests of the children.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere, promoting a sense of community and teamwork.
  • Monitor Children's Well-being: Monitor children's well-being and respond to their needs promptly, ensuring their physical and emotional safety.
  • Communicate with Parents and Caregivers: Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and well-being.
  • Follow Policies and Procedures: Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care: Hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or be currently working towards this qualification.
  • Blue Card or Willingness to Obtain: Hold a Blue Card or be willing to obtain one, ensuring compliance with child safety regulations.
  • Passion for Working with Children: Demonstrate a genuine passion for working with children and contributing to their growth and development.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Reliability and Punctuality: Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude, ensuring a high level of service delivery.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Show flexibility and adaptability, willing to work across different childcare centers and adapt to various environments.
  • Current First Aid and Anaphylaxis Certificates: Hold current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificates (ACECQA Approved) or be willing to obtain them.
