We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Leading Hand to join our team at 2088 GG Services Pty Ltd.

About the Role:

The Warehouse Leading Hand is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. This includes supervising warehouse staff, monitoring inventory levels, and implementing quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate the safety of warehouse staff, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure compliance with safe working practices.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality.
  • Supervise the quality control of incoming goods and materials, taking appropriate action to address any issues.
  • Manage the daily job assignments of warehouse staff, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Support the management of the monthly stocktake process, ensuring accurate inventory levels and compliance with company procedures.

Requirements:

  • Warehousing experience within a food-related environment, preferably with supervisory experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness skills, with the ability to contribute to the wider business process.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with proficiency in computer literacy.
  • Forklift license is highly desirable.
