Role Responsibilities:
As a Software Technical Support Engineer, your primary focus will be on ensuring our customers' success. You will be responsible for maintaining seamless operations for our clients, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues across various SCADA products, including GeoSCADA, AVEVA System Platform, and AVEVA Plant SCADA.
Your specific duties will encompass:
- Taking ownership of complex software issues, investigating and resolving them while providing workarounds for clients.
- Documenting activities and findings accurately and promptly in the case management system.
- Contributing to the development of digital self-help resources to enhance customer experience through technical notes.
- Collaborating with colleagues across different support centers and departments.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate is curious, enthusiastic, and possesses a bold engineering mindset, eager to understand how systems operate and how to rectify any malfunctions. You thrive on challenges, are committed to continuous learning, and enjoy problem-solving creatively. This role will also require you to articulate your findings to others.
We seek individuals who look beyond the obvious, applying innovative and inclusive strategies to problem-solving. Your innate curiosity and passion for learning will make you an excellent fit for this position.
Additionally, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A tertiary qualification in engineering or computer science, along with a foundational understanding of software and automation hardware communications/setup.
- Experience with AVEVA System Platform and Plant SCADA or GEO SCADA is advantageous.
While technical skills are important, equally vital are your energy, curiosity, customer-centric approach, and ability to collaborate effectively as a dedicated team player. If you are excited about this opportunity and eager to learn, we encourage you to consider this role.
Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion:
Schneider Electric strives to be the most inclusive and caring company globally, providing equitable opportunities for all. We value diversity and believe that our differences strengthen our organization. Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is reflected in our hiring practices and company culture.
