Transport Policy Advisor

This role involves leading and supporting transport sector reforms across Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing options, negotiating positions, and jointly delivering legislative and operational changes.

The goal is to create a harmonised national end-to-end regulatory framework that enables the introduction of automated vehicles and realises their social and economic benefits.

This position falls under the Legislative Reform Stream of the Regulatory Reform Portfolio and requires high-quality policy advice and services on matters related to the NTC Work Program.

  • Provide authoritative advice on complex policy issues and proposals.
  • Lead the delivery of policy services and manage an ongoing policy program.
  • Identify and advise on new and emerging policy issues and their implications.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • In-depth knowledge of transport policies and associated requirements.
  • A proven track record of delivering transport policy outcomes.
  • The ability to provide strategic and authoritative advice on complex policy issues under tight timelines.
