Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Manager to oversee Distribution Center operations. As a key member of the DC Operations team, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our distribution centers to achieve business results, optimize performance, and ensure compliance.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Define and communicate strategic objectives to achieve goals with the DC management team (costs, planning, efficiency, and payroll)
  • Accountable for all financial and operational data related to DC controlling, including setting up and following up on agreed budgets, projects, KPIs (e.g., cost, service, sustainability) in terms of efficiency and productivity as well as quality assurance.
  • Act as the backup to the DC Manager, strongly supporting the DC Manager and representing them in cases of absence.
  • Support departments and management teams with financial and quantitative insights, reports, and analyses.
  • Secure correct invoicing and quality checks of main cost drivers.
  • Identify and drive areas of improvement regarding DC performance by performing relevant analyses and reports, defining potential action plans (e.g., improving profitability, service level, efficiency, DC costs, etc.).
  • Define framework and report structures to follow up on business results on a regular basis, aligned with overall global guidelines and reporting needs of DC management, audit routines, etc.
  • Support and drive contract negotiations (e.g., overseeing and initiating tendering of contracts with external vendors).
  • Provide quantitative decision support to the DC management team.
  • Oversee, challenge, and validate planning.
  • Takes over DC Planner responsibilities at Retail DCs of all sizes.

**Requirements**

  • Good understanding of cross-functional departments and collaboration within regions.
