We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lawyer to join our Professional Conduct team at the Legal Services Commission. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in assessing, investigating, and reviewing complaints about the conduct of lawyers and law practice employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and advise on complaints about conduct within legislated time frames
  • Negotiate resolutions and investigate complaints about the conduct of lawyers and law practice employees
  • Recommend what action, if any, the Commissioner should take on identified audit issues, relevant conduct, and complaints
  • Provide investigatory functions, including assessing, investigating, and recommending what action should be taken on identified audit issues, relevant conduct, and complaints
  • Mentor more junior members of your team and contribute to the preparation of regulatory litigation
About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of legal issues and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the Commission's functions under the Legal Profession Act 2007.
