About Us
The Australian Football League (AFL) is a leading sports organization that promotes and grows the game of Australian football across the country. As an AFL Game Development Casual, you will play a key role in helping our Development workforce grow participation through the delivery of fun and engaging Auskick, junior and schools football programs.
About the Role
This casual role is located in Darwin, Northern Territory, and involves working with diverse audiences to deliver fun experiences in a safe, consistent, and inclusive way. You will be trained to deliver Auskick programs and support clubs in delivering their programs, as well as promote programs within schools and lead in-school AFL clinics.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver AFL Auskick programs and support clubs in delivering their programs
- Effective promotion of programs within schools, including school assemblies and clinics
- Confident with leading in-school AFL clinics
- Assisting with school football competitions and gala days, including set up, umpiring, and scoring and timekeeping
- Ensure adequate equipment is available to conduct programs
- Provide assistance to Development Leads and Coordinators, as required
Our Ideal Team Member
We are looking for a fun and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children. You will have strong interpersonal communication skills, particularly with primary and secondary school-aged children, and be able to adapt to change and remain effective and calm when faced with changing tasks, responsibilities, or people.
Mandatory:
- Working with Children's Check or ability to obtain
- Current NT Driver's License
- Current First Aid Certificate
