Job Description

The role involves working as part of a fabrication team where you will be responsible for producing customised orders of PVC pipes. Your day will include a wide range of plastic fabrication activities such as cutting and slotting pipe, belling pipes, solvent and cementing of fittings, assembly of fittings, linishing fittings/pipe, plastic welding, pipe bending, pop riveting, and shrink-wrapping pallets.

You will work with hand tools including drop saws, Sica saws, heating tools and guns, drills, and perform a range of tasks to produce customised customer orders.

It is essential to have a mechanical aptitude, technical experience to read drawings, safely work with hand tools and plastic piping, as well as pride in your craft to deliver a high-quality finish.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in fabrication of plastic pipes or working as a trade assistant operating tools and machinery.
  • Excellent spatial awareness, mechanical aptitude, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to following work site procedures, understanding of safety work practices, and demonstrated risk awareness.
  • Excellent decision making, highly organised and able to manage your time effectively to get the job done accurately and efficiently.
  • Australian Resident or Permanent resident with full working rights.
