Job Title: Testing Officer

SGS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Testing Officer to join our team in Notting Hill, Melbourne.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled professional to assist the Test Engineer in the examination, testing, and calibration of road safety enforcement technology equipment and other traffic systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of traffic management and roadside health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain the tools necessary for the examination and testing of road safety enforcement technology equipment and other traffic systems.
  • Ensure that all testing and calibration is carried out in a safe, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Assist the Project Manager Traffic Systems in any such manner with regard to the Traffic Systems division.
  • Implement traffic management to meet all HSE guidelines.
  • Assist in the test of road safety enforcement technology and other traffic systems equipment in accordance with documented procedures to determine compliance with standards or client's requirements.
  • Record details of tests, results, assessments, and observations in order to have a permanent record for report compliance and reference.
  • Prepare a written report of results, assessments, and observations obtained from testing.
Requirements:
  • Certificate in Electronics or progressing towards one OR an equivalent qualification and experience.
  • An understanding of Traffic Management and roadside HSE.
  • Understanding of measurement and testing techniques relating to road safety enforcement technology and test equipment used.
  • An understanding of the principles used by road safety enforcement technology equipment.
  • Possess technical written skills to record test results.
  • Current and valid Australian driver's license.
