About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our client's team in a day shift position. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining safety, quality, and manufacturing standards, conducting preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting machines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain safety, quality, and manufacturing standards
  • Conduct preventative maintenance according to site requirements
  • Troubleshoot machines and equipment by making assessments and estimating repair times
  • Disassemble, assess, repair, and reassemble machines, equipment, and components
  • Read and follow SOPs
  • Use tools such as MEX, log books, PM check sheets, schematic drawings, sketches, diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Liaise with relevant personnel to ensure accurate activities and resolve problems promptly
Requirements
  • Mechanical trade certificate preferred
  • Australian residency required
  • Previous experience working in a solid manufacturing industry with high-speed 24/7 production environments
  • Previous experience in mechanical maintenance in high-volume manufacturing facilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to work
  • Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
