Cartage Coordinator Role Overview

A supportive team environment is crucial for success in this position, with a focus on sea freight cartage and Cargowise experience.

Located in Melbourne, Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Booking cargo movements with carriers
  • Liaising with clients regarding their deliveries
  • Ensuring timely delivery by chasing COD payments from clients
  • Checking FCL and LCL availabilities online
  • Returning empty containers to avoid detention charges
  • Following up on original bills
  • Coordinating with other freight forwarders and shipping lines
  • Entering invoices into EDI Cargowise
  • Reviewing and approving cartage costs

This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. We require a dedicated individual who is proactive, organised, understands the importance of a good work ethic and can bring a professional, friendly and helpful manner to a fast-paced environment.

To be considered for this position, you must have previous Cartage FCL / LCL experience gained specifically within an International Freight Forwarding environment, EDI/Cargowise experience and a minimum of 1-2 years in a hands-on Cartage role.
